Event launches country-wide competition to find the UK’s best mind in broking
Bollington’s chairman Paul Moors emerged triumphant in the battle of the brokers after going under the spotlight at Insurance Times’s BrokerMind launch event at Biba 2012.
Moors won the keenly fought contest after notching up 19 points to see off rivals Giles chief executive Brendan McManus and Bluefin chief executive Stuart Reid. McManus took second place with 15 points and Reid came in third with 8 points.
The competition, inspired by Mastermind, was launched at the Biba conference in Manchester last month to find the UK’s biggest broking talent.
Contestants faced a quick-fire round of 20 general insurance questions before taking their seat in the famous black leather chair to get a grilling on their specialist chosen subjects.
Coming from behind in the first round, Moors stormed back to take the prestigious title with an impressive total of 19 points after successfully answering almost 100% of his questions on football legend George Best.
Could you do better than Moors, McManus and Reid?
