Broker makes new hires in Birmingham and Ludlow offices
Broking group Bluefin has hired ex-Jelf executives Jim Pitchforth and Wendy Bushby (pictured) to its Birmingham and Ludlow offices, respectively.
Pitchforth has joined Bluefin’s Birmingham office as development director, reporting to branch director Nigel Bartlett. He was previously Jelf’s senior development executive in Worcestershire.
He said: “It’s an exciting time for me to join Bluefin. We have a strong team with great experience and therefore a very strong proposition to offer businesses in our region.”
Bartlett added: “We are very pleased to welcome Jim to our team in Birmingham. We are an ambitious team, with plans to expand in this region and Jim will play an important role in achieving this development.”
Bushby has been named a commercial broker in Bluefin’s Ludlow office, reporting to branch director Mark Rogers.
While at Jelf, Bushby was responsible for looking after small-to-medium-sized businesses and farms in the broker’s commercial division.
She said: “Bluefin has a fantastic offering for local businesses across all classes of insurance, with a particular focus on agriculture and I am delighted to be joining the team.”
Rogers added: “We are very pleased to welcome someone of Wendy’s experience and knowledge to the Ludlow team. While other brokers have looked to reduce or relocate from the Ludlow area, Bluefin’s presence and commitment to this region continues to grow.”
