Projects director and affinities boss boost Bluefin
Bluefin has brought in two senior brokers from close rival Gallagher Heath.
Rita Thorpe has rejoined Bluefin as projects director after leaving in 2010, and Mike Owen has been confirmed as head of schemes and affinities.
Thorpe will report to regional managing director, London corporate, Matt Harlin.
Bluefin chief executive Stuart Reid said: “Rita is a vastly experienced and technically skilled broker who we were sorry to lose and are delighted to welcome back to the group after a short absence.”
On Owen’s appointment, Reid added: “We have a wide range of schemes and affinity relationships across the group that need reviewing, analysing and managing if we are to realise their full potential.
“Mike’s primary focus will be to carry out a full and honest audit so we can assess exactly what we’re sitting on here, and then take the appropriate action to ensure we’re making the most of these assets. It’s a big job.”
