AIG boss called to answer Congressional Oversight Panel
AIG chief executive officer Robert Benmosche will testify before a 26 May Congressional Oversight Panel investigating the US bailout of financial firms about the insurer's plans to return to profitability, Dow Jones reports.
The panel sent a letter saying: "The Panel requests that your hearing testimony address AIG's plans to return to profitability, the factors upon which that recovery are dependent, and AIG's plans to repay the investment of the U.S. taxpayer."
