AXA says deal is expected to deliver up to £10m GWP over the three-year contract.
AXA has joined broker UNA’s broker panel under a new three-year rolling deal.
Under the agreement, AXA will underwrite policies ranging from property, casualty to motor.
The insurer said the deal is expected to generate up to £10m GWP over the three-year life of the contract.
It adds that the deal heralds a “starting point to a much stronger and wider relationship” between the insurer and the broker alliance, particularly in the SME sector.
AXA UK commercial managing director Matthew Reed said: “The UNA group of brokers have ambitious plans for growth following the recent rebrand and we are delighted that AXA will be a key partner in helping deliver this growth.
“We believe there is a huge opportunity to grow our business with UNA as currently our penetration of their book is lower than we would like. This new deal goes some way towards correcting that and represents a strong commitment on both sides to a partnership that we expect to go from strength to strength.
“As the alliance is comprised of strong regional brokers, this relationship with UNA is absolutely in line with our wider SME strategy.”
UNA, which rebranded from the Unitas name in November, is owned solely by its 12 Members
UNA executive chairman Tim Ryan added: “We are very pleased to welcome AXA onto our strategic insurer panel and we are excited to be working closely with an insurer whose appetites in the SME market match our own.”
