Aviva has signed an outsourcing deal with IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), only a week after a deal was announced with Indian software company Wipro technologies.
Under a long-term agreement, TCS will provide Aviva with IT solutions and consulting services from its UK operations, with offshore support from its service delivery centre in Bangalore, India.
TCS global chief executive, S Ramadorai, said the company had a strong track record within the insurance industry and would continue to invest heavily in its insurance practice both in the UK and in India.
Aviva's deal with Wipro includes applications developments, maintenance and infrastructure management, revealed a report last week.
