Aviva said the freehold for its City headquarters, St Helen's' had been sold to the Halabi Trust.
Aviva sold 20% of the leasehold, a report revealed. The rest was sold by unidentified clients of Aberdeen Property Investors, a unit of Aberdeen Asset Management, said Aviva.
According to the report, the 26-floor building is expected to fetch in the region of £250m.
St Helen's is let to the insurer until 2024.
