Underwriting agency targeting areas of broker demand and lower competition
Commercial underwriting agency Arista has launched 14 regionally focused trading teams.
The move was prompted by analysis of broker and competitor activity across the country and is designed to match locally based teams with underwriting opportunities.
Arista said it was learning lessons from other industries by targeting areas where there was a demand from brokers, solid underwriting opportunities and fewer rival offerings.
The agency added that its new regional network has strengthened its technical capability, which supports underwriting and governance.
Arista chief executive Charles Earle said: “Arista regional teams analysed the commercial insurance and independent broker markets to identify opportunities to align what we do with what brokers need.
“We have created a new structure that is able to deliver and support our future growth ambitions, with new roles and responsibilities for our regional teams.
“At a time when other insurers are scaling back their regional operations, we firmly believe that this is where we can succeed through delivering the exceptional service our customers want.”
