Arista makes new additions to its Redhill underwriting team
Arista Insurance, the commercial lines underwriting operation, has appointed Sian Rolfe, Andy Mayers and Richard Clarke to its underwriting team in Redhill.
Rolfe has been taken on as senior underwriter and is responsible for new business development across a panel of the region’s brokers. With eight years’ experience in the industry, she was previously a senior local underwriter for NIG and a broker for Knighthood Corporate Assurance Services.
Mayers and Clarke have been recruited as underwriters. Mayers joins from Markel UK where he was a specialty commercial risks underwriter while Clarke brings specialist knowledge of motor trade to Redhill from his position as commercial underwriter for NIG.
Commenting on the new appointments, Andy Wright, Regional Manager South East said: “The recruitment of Sian, Richard and Andy is very much in line with our commitment to developing our regional business, and providing local expertise for brokers. Between them they have more than 40 years industry experience and individually they bring a range of specialist skills which will be a huge asset to our business and that of our brokers.”
As well as the previously mentioned positions, Rolfe has also worked for Norwich Union as an onsite bonus underwriter, Mayers was an underwriting assistant for St Paul Travellers and Clarke was with GRE for 10 years where he was mainly involved in Motor Trade & Fleet.
