New underwriter to support local brokers.
Commercial lines underwriter Arista Insurance has appointed Dan Mewse to provide localised underwriting support to its brokers in Cornwall and Devon.
Based in Exeter, Mewse will report to South West regional manager David Aslin and will be responsible for developing and maintaining broker accounts in the region.
David Aslin said: “Dan’s appointment is in direct response to the increasing demand from our South West based brokers.
"Following close consultation we identified a real desire to have Arista expertise available on their doorstep to work closely with them to develop profitable accounts. Utilising our flexible recruitment approach we are able to take on a local expert without the need for an Arista office base.
"As a result Dan will combine working from home with an onsite presence for those brokers who require a truly local solution.”
Mewse has 16 years’ industry experience and his previous roles have included commercial account manager for Jelf Group, commercial underwriter for NIG and personal lines team leader with broker Graham Sykes.
