Matthew Alcott new Aon sales & marketing director

Aon Risk Solutions has appointed Matthew Alcott as sales & marketing director for its UK business. 

Alcott joins Aon from Oval, where he was UK sales director for its general insurance business. Alcott will report to Aon Risk Solutions UK chief executive Jim Herbert.

Former Aon chief broking officer Steve Redgwell will now take responsibility for Aon’s mid market corporate business. Aon Global and Speciality Clients managing director Karl Hennessey will now oversee Aon’s trade credit, sport, recreation/entertainment, real estate, financial services and UK construction arms.

Herbert said: “I’m delighted to welcome Matt to Aon – his appointment demonstrates our ability to attract the very best talent.”

Alcott said: “I’m delighted to join Aon and work in such a dynamic and collaborative environment.”

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
