Serious Organised Crime Agency named 102 firms on list handed to MPs
Aon has been named on a list of companies handed to MPs by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA) that allegedly used corrupt private detectives, according to the Mail on Sunday.
SOCA handed the Home Affairs Select Committee a list of 102 firms that it believes has connections with jailed ‘blaggers’ Dan Summers and John Spears, the private investigators who used illegal techniques to gain information about their targets.
The newspaper named several other firms that it said appeared on the list alongside Aon: professional services firm Deloitte; banks Credit Suisse, Chase Manhattan, Jyske; law firms Clyde & Co, Reed Smith, Herbert Smith, Lawrence Graham, Holman Fenwick Willan and Denton Wilde Sapte; construction companies Morgan Sindall and Keltbray; and security firms Greymans and Interfor.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
