Rob Woods to drive alignment of global office network
Aon Global has appointed Rob Woods as chief executive officer of its London broking teams. He will be responsible for ensuring global clients receive insurance programme design, placement and access to the global markets.
To achieve this, Rob will drive strategy around the alignment of Aon’s network across its 120 worldwide offices. This will involve working with Aon Global’s specialist broking teams in London, including: aviation, marine, financial services, professions, crisis management, property & casualty and natural resources & construction.
Rob is currently the CEO of Aon’s Natural Resources & Construction team and will continue to manage this area until a successor is appointed. Rob has 20 years experience in broking and has been at Aon since 2002. He previously worked with Sedgwick and Aegis Energy Syndicate in Lloyds.
He will report into Peter Harmer, CEO of Aon UK and chairman for Aon Global (UK). Harmer commented: “Aon Global is going through a transformation to ensure its future success by aligning the broking network. This means clients will achieve the best of Aon's global expertise regardless of location. Rob is the ideal candidate to drive this strategy and plan with his strong leadership skills.
“Following the recent appointment of Rob Brown as CEO to Aon’s Corporate division, this is yet another positive step in strengthening Aon's leadership team for 2008.”
