New hire to underwrite professional indemnity insurance
Lloyd’s insurer Antares has added Chris Day to its team as a professional indemnity (PI) underwriter.
Day joins Antares from Aspen Insurance, where he was part of the team responsible for establishing the broker’s PI account. He has previously held underwriting positions at Mitsui Sumitomo, GE Frankona Re and Chartwell Managing Agencies.
Day also held a number of senior broking roles before switching to underwriting in 2001 and was previously a vice president at Marsh where he managed its UK PI team.
Antares Syndicate 1274 active underwriter Joe Battle said Antares was pleased to welcome Day to the syndicate as it continued to grow. He added: “As well as having excellent relationships with all the key brokers in this market, Chris has experience in developing books of business and writing PI business for a wide variety of professions.”
