Allianz will offer more support to Higos’ SME and mid-market commercial clients after Aviva ceased all business with GRP-owned entities

Higos has responded to losing it’s book of business with Aviva by expanding its partnership with Allianz.

Following a tender exercise, Allianz will provide increased support and enhanced propositions for Higos’ SME and mid-market commercial clients.

Higos was acquired by GRP in 2017, who recently ceased doing business with Aviva.

But Higos managing director Neil Thornton said the expanded portfolio with Allianz, which covers the majority of commercial segments, would create further growth for Higos.

Thornton added: “We are delighted with the continued support shown for our business by Allianz and our other insurer partners, and we look forward to building strongly on existing trading relationships.

“The Higos team is excited by the opportunity to partner with a carrier that truly understands our business, and wants to improve outcomes for clients by developing new products and services, including on the claims side, where we intend to plug into Allianz’s first class claims operation.”

Sarah Mallaby, director of broker markets at Allianz, said: “We are very pleased our existing relationship with Higos continues to develop and strengthen. Supporting high performing regional brokers that are focused on service and advice for the benefit of customers is a key element of our strategy.”

The agreement is operational with immediate effect.
