Allianz Cornhill is reviewing its employers' liability (EL) product to examine how it could be extended to provide rehabilitation.
The move comes as the insurer announced a new case management panel to assist with the provision of rehabilitation services for its mid-range personal injury claimants.
Bob Rabbitts, technical claims manager, said: "We have an arrangement to use rehabilitation, it is something we have been enthusiastic about for a while.
"At the moment we don't provide an extension to our EL policy to include rehabil-itation. It is something we would like to look at."
Rabbitts said this would mean looking at offering rehabilitation for individual incidents rather than only cases which may go to litigation. Rehabilitation, he added, was proven to cut the lifecycle of the claim and limit the possibility of it ending up in litigation.
The case management panel members are: Harrison Associates; HCML; Kynixa; Proclaim Care; and TICCS.
