Allianz appoints casualty and motor manager

Allianz Insurance has appointed Sarah Mallaby to its claims division as casualty and motor manager.

Mallaby was previously a senior claims manager at Aviva UK.

Mallaby will oversee motor and casualty claims handling, and will also be responsible for major loss claims handling, litigation and claim cost control.

She will also handle a small number of major, complex and strategically important claims.

In addition, Mallaby will be responsible for the line management of Allianz’s major loss, rehabilitation and credit hire claims teams.

She takes over from Allianz motor and casualty claims manager Martin Saunders, who stepped into the role last year when previous encumbent Roy Hebburn retired.

Saunders said: “We are very pleased to welcome someone of Sarah’s calibre to Allianz. She has an excellent breadth of experience in her field and I have every confidence that the knowledge and skill that she brings to Allianz will add huge value to our claims operation.”
