Administrators PwC have failed to find a buyer for the failed business
Belgian insurer Ageas has confirmed it will begin finding alternative suppliers for all customers with outstanding jobs, following PwC’s failure to find an interested buyer.
The company uses a number of suppliers including LAS, GAB Robins’ building repair network and Property Consortium (UK) Ltd. These companies will provide support to both Ageas’ existing business and the work that would have previously been allocated to Rok.
Rob Smale, claims and operations director of Ageas Insurance said: “The fact that we design our processes to ensure that there is no single point of failure and that we have a number of suppliers who support our business, has meant that we have been able to respond quickly to the Rok situation and continue to meet our customers’ needs with limited disruption to them.”
PwC previously announced 1,800 redundancies at failed property repair company Rok after it failed to find buyers for the Rok's UK maintenance and construction division and its construction business in Scotland. The units have been closed.
It also said it was continuing to employ about 500 workers in Rok’s construction and social housing business in England.
