Software house partners with broker alliance
Acturis, the insurance software company, has announced it is to roll out commercial lines e-trading facilities to Unitas members.
Unitas is an alliance of 13 of the UKs largest independent insurance brokers, and some members already use the Acturis system.
Perkins Slade managing director Darren Rowe, who is leading the project for Unitas said: “Our 13 members manage commercial insurance worth more than £1bn GWP, so we need a robust transactional system to help increase efficiency and streamline processes. To do this, we will need to maximise our e-trading capabilities.
“While we reviewed other propositions, Acturis was the logical partner to support our push into e-trading. As the e-trade community increases within our alliance, we believe the relationship with Acturis will allow us to increase efficiency and productivity and develop and distribute bespoke e-trade products for our members.”
Acturis sales and marketing manager Jeff McCracken added: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with the entire Unitas Alliance. We have a proven track record of helping a number of the Unitas members streamline their processes and increase efficiency through e-trading their commercial lines business. We’re looking forward to providing the remaining Unitas members with the technology to enjoy the same benefits as they embrace the advantages of e-trade.”
