LV= division to offer products aimed at licensed businesses.
ABC Insurance, the broker distribution arm of LV=, has launched three commercial policies for the licensed trade.
The range is aimed at owners and operators of licensed businesses and is designed to cover the assets and liabilities of pubs and restaurants, hotels and guesthouses.
The broker-only products include a range of optional extensions such as cover for accidental damage or loss of licence, plus buildings and contents insurance.
The policies are underwritten by LV= and administered in Croydon.
ABC launched its first batch of package products earlier this year, including policies for shops, offices and property owners.
Mike Crane, head of broker underwriting, said it was also considering a tradesman product in the new year. “They will help us go forward and be a strong force in the broker market,” he said.
Phil Bunker, managing director of the LV= broker division, which owns ABC Insurance, added: “These policies have been designed specifically to cater for all the different risks faced when running a licensed business.
“As well as generous levels of cover, we understand the unique nature of this sector, so have developed a range of optional extensions.”
