Biba, an award and some great news developments made for a week to remember
Wednesday: Slightly the worse for wear after a night in Manchester, it’s off to Biba and a busy day meeting the great and good. Towergate Underwriting chief and Spurs fan Clive Nathan rubs it in about the plight of my beloved Hammers. Your time will come, Clive.
Thursday: Back in the office writing up Biba notes. Everybody is being very kind after I won the Headline Money insurance journalist of the year award at a presentation dinner last night.
Friday: The Heath Lambert deal’s finally gone through. Adrian Colosso and David Ross are strong personalities – can they work together?
Monday: Former AXA and Pru chief Mark Wood is the latest to take an interest in RAC – the story makes a nice little online exclusive.
Tuesday: Aviva’s results are solid, thanks to the climb in motor rates. Interesting to see it’s going back on the aggregators after two and half years away – affirmation that price comparison sites are the power players when it comes to personal lines distribution.
