Former Zurich UK general insurance personal lines managing director Tim Holliday has joined the board of telematics technology firm Trak Global as a non-executive director.
Holliday, who left Zurich last year, will work with Trak Global chief executive Nick Corrie to develop the company’s insurer proposition.
As well as developing telematics technology, Crewe-based Trak Global owns telematics broker Carrot.
Corrie said: “We are selling more young driver policies through our Carrot brand or via our insurance partners than ever before but capturing the mass market via telematics-based insurance is the big prize and our priority for the next phase.”
He added that Holliday’s experience at running Zurich’s UK personal lines business would help Trak Global improve its standing with insurers.
Holliday said: “I am looking forward to playing my part in helping [Trak Global] to realise their long term strategic ambitions.”
Holliday is also currently a non-executive director of joint-venture insurer Tesco Underwriting and trade union insurance mutual UIA.
