CII endorse talent initiative
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) will give Zurich accreditation for its ‘Futures’ programme - a UK-wide talent development initiative for senior managers in the company.
Fast-tracking individuals in their current roles, ‘Futures’ is aimed at the both next generation of and current leaders, with 25 people attending the course each year from across the Life, Global Corporate and General Insurance businesses.
Those who complete the ‘Futures’ course will be able to claim CPD points for their CII qualifications.
This is the second accolade Zurich has received from the CII in the last six months. It follows the launch of ‘The Zurich Membership Proposition', which aims to put all employees through CII training, achieving fully chartered status within a 5-year period. It was the first professional qualifications training programme of its kind.
David Martin, Managing Director, Zurich Global Corporate UK said:
“Professional qualifications and the development of all our people is an extremely important business priority for Zurich. Our Futures programme is a key investment in nurturing our people to reach their full potential, with a high percentage of ‘Futurists’ being promoted either during or by the end of the program. Achieving CPD accreditation with the CII reinforces the high standards of the programme and helps us to maintain focus on the challenges of a demanding and competitive industry."
Paul Mehra, Head of UK Talent Management & Development, added:
"The ‘Futures’ programme has been an integral part of the accelerated development of our high performing, high potential leaders who are usually at the mid-point of their careers. It has proved to be extremely powerful not only in building on their practical skills, knowledge and business awareness, but in helping individuals really focus on where best they can concentrate their efforts on behalf of the business, whilst building a rewarding and challenging career."
