Zurich has completed the sale of parts of its French business to Assicurazioni Generali Spa for an undisclosed sum.
According to a report, the sale, which was announced in September, includes all of Zurich's life operations. This includes the Eagle Star business, as well as parts of Zurich's consumer and commercial operations distributed by agents.
Zurich said the sale was part of a strategic realignment with the insurer focusing its activities in France on the non-life corporate segment, operating through its continental Europe corporate business unit.
