XL Insurance appoints Philip Hogg as environmental underwriter
XL Insurance, the global insurance operations of XL Capital Ltd (NYSE: XL), has continued the expansion of its environmental insurance team with the hiring of Philip Hogg as environmental underwriter in London.
Mr. Hogg has over 10 years experience in environmental consulting, especially with UK and international property transactions as well as large remediation projects throughout Europe.
Commenting on the appointment, Simon White, XL Insurance environmental branch manager, said: "Companies face increasing environmental exposures, especially as a consequence of the EU's Environmental Liability Directive. Environmental underwriting requires an in-depth knowledge of these exposures and the relevant legal framework.
