Newport-based David Moore & Co Insurance Brokers is the first Willis Commercial Network member to have made two simultaneous acquisitions.
The acquisition of two Wolverhampton-based firms, Howard Wright & Co and David S Francis Insurance Brokers was aided by the network's management team and financed by Halifax Bank of Scotland in a deal negotiated by Willis.
Managing director David Moore, said: “Joining the Willis Commercial Network has raised our expectations and confidence to actively seek and acquire business, even those larger than ourselves. Howard Wright & Co is one such acquisition.
“By acquiring both Howard Wright & Co and David S Francis we have now become one of the fastest growing brokerages in the country.”
Willis Commercial Network managing director Mark Radburn, said: “Within the Willis Commercial Network, we actively encourage members to grow through a combination of positive strategies including new business, cross selling and acquisitions.”
Over the next few years the Network has a growth target of over 100 members generating in excess of £500m in premium.
