Airlines names insurance partners
The US Airways Airbus A320 that was forced to land on the Hudson river in New York last week was insured through broker Willis. AIG Aviation is the lead insurer, but US Airways would not disclose how much the plane is insured for. Investigators are trying to establish the cause of the plane’s problems. The crew claims the Airbus hit a flock of birds soon after take-off. All 155 people on board survived.
