Sharon West joins from UK General, where she oversaw its schemes distribution
Wholesale broker Lexelle has hired Sharon West as its new managing director, as the firm plans to grow client numbers by developing its legal expenses offering and related products.
West joins from UK General where she oversaw the schemes distribution in the broker market.
Lexelle provides niche motor, home and commercial products to personal and commercial lines brokers.
West said there would be opportunities for Lexelle to significantly grow the business through its existing client base of brokers, broker networks, insurers and claims administrators.
“Our approach is focused on providing high quality value-for-money products and solutions with a strong compliance base in response to the changing market conditions in complimentary, add-on and niche insurance products,” she said.
“We are also developing an upgraded version of our widely used and established Brokernet online policy management system.
“We are able to provide a wide range of services and products, and our in-house claims handling capability is run by a highly skilled team.”
Lexelle chairman Donald Mackay said the company would be making further investments in the team over the next few months and would be developing its existing products.
