Westinsure's Erwin appointed 1 Answer Network MD

Westinsure managing director Norrie Erwin has left the Gallagher-owned network to join 1 Answer Network as managing director.

Erwin was also the strategic development director for Compass Broker Services, which incorporates networks Westinsure and Select.

He will replace Paul Muir at 1 Answer who will become chairman.

Muir said: “Norrie brings with him a wealth of general insurance knowledge and expertise covering sales, major account management, distribution and strategy.

“He has the ability to build and initiate market-leading business partnerships and associated teams that deliver results to the bottom line. He is a high calibre appointment and I look forward to working with him to deliver our long-term strategic aims.”

Compass was sold to Arthur J Gallagher as part of the £233m acquisition of Giles in November 2013.

Select which was set up in January 2013, looks after larger brokers, while Westinsure looks after brokers with around £1.75m to £3m GWP.
