Broker alliance Westinsure has signed up its 100th member, Metcalf Insurance Services.
The addition of the Stockport broker brings Westinsure’s controlled premium to £200m.
Denis Morgan, managing director of Westinsure, said the alliance was on track to hit £250m GWP by the end of the year with around 125 members on board.
“We are currently in discussions with a number of brokers, which between them control £350m GWP,” Morgan said.
The organisation has also recruited Max Hardman as executive director and Jason Jackson as operations manager.
Morgan said its current business aims have been in place since the end of last year and added: “We are finding that more and more members like our proposition. They like our ethos.”
Individual Westinsure members control from £1m to £14m GWP.
The typical associate is either a small, market town broker or a traditional, family-run business in a city centre.
