UnumProvident has revamped its individual income protection product range to include increased benefits and options, said the company.
It said the revamp was part of its strategy to become a leading provider in the individual income protection market and to provide a competitively priced, high-specification, high-value offering to policyholders.
Special features of the reviewed product include: disability plus, an optional benefit to provide more seriously disabled claimants with an additional 20% income benefit; cover for those who find themselves not working for an extended period of time; and guaranteed increase options allowing policyholders to purchase more cover as their circumstances change.
UnumProvident has also launched a low cost version of the product, primary income replacement plan.
