Paul Everett will be responsible for growing UK General’s niche personal lines business
UK General has appointed Paul Everett to the newly created role of personal lines sales director as it plans to expand its niche and specialist personal lines business.
Everett will report to schemes managing director Karen Beales who also heads up the personal lines business, and will work alongside chief operating officer Simon Tate and proposition and strategy director, Nick Rawlings.
Everett has worked as a consultant for the past four years for blue chip companies included insurance companies where he managed sales and operational projects.
He also spent 14 years at travel insurance broker and breakdown assistance provider Europ Assistance where he set up call centres in Ireland and Scandinavia. He also helped to develop the company’s worldwide home assistance, travel, and motor strategy.
Beales said: “With the significant growth in our business, expansion in our team and our ambition to be the leading niche and specialist insurer, this is the right time to harness Paul’s vast experience in sales and operations.
“Paul will be pivotal in supporting this growth and ensuring that we continue to focus on our existing broker relationships, maintain the level of service and quality of relationships they know and expect from our brand, and provide the capacity and capability to develop new broker relationships.”
