Only 11% of UK companies have taken out digital risk insurance, according to a survey by Scalable Networks.

The IT consultant surveyed over 2,500 companies and found that just over a third had carried out vulnerability testing on their IT systems.

Most commercial policies do not cover cyber risks, according to Scaleable Networks. Instead separate digital risk policies are being used. These are expensive and require independent audit of existing IT security systems, according to the Scalable.
