UIB mourns death of director

UIB’s long-standing company director Philip Loasby has passed away.

Loasby, a divisional director within UIB’s marine claims division, had worked for the group for 25 years, and was also a serving member of the London & International Insurance Brokers’ Association marine claims sub-committee.

UIB Marine managing director Andrew Little said: “This is an extremely sad loss. Phil was a good friend and a true professional, his marine claims knowledge and experience being rivalled by few. He will be greatly missed by all at UIB and many others in the London market as well as around the world.”

Loasby leaves a wife, Chris, and two children, Nicola and Warren.
