New division will be headed by Simon Lovat
United Insurance Brokers (UIB) has announced the formation of a new UK Professional Indemnity Division, headed by Simon Lovat.
The new division will build on UIB’s existing UK general liability capabilities.
Phillip Tuite Dalton, UIB’s chief operating officer, said: “This development reflects our business strategy of driving growth and improving client service and it is an excellent strategic fit with our existing UK general liability division.
"Professional indemnity clients are looking increasingly for alternative solutions to reduce costs and streamline service. Simon’s team will deliver a new, fresh and dynamic approach.”
Lovat, 26 is one of the youngest-ever divisional directors to be appointed at UIB. Previously, Lovat worked for PYV Ltd as the assistant director of its business development division and was also head of professions at CRS Group (London).
Lovat said: “I am very excited about this opportunity at UIB. I am looking forward to providing client solutions that go beyond the traditional broker model. We will deliver new distribution and pricing strategies, taking advantage of commoditization opportunities, to better meet clients’ needs.”
