UIB appoints divisional director

United Insurance Brokers (UIB) has appointed Mikael Ardell as divisional director for marine and energy.

Ardell, who joins from Jardine Lloyd Thompson, will be based in Stockholm and will be responsible for driving growth in the Nordic region in property and energy sectors.

Peter Sundlöf, managing director of UIB Nordic, said: "Mikael's skills fit hand in glove with those of the existing team and we are extremely pleased to welcome such a highly regarded specialist to UIB.
