Matthew Wilson joins from Willis
Travelers has hired Matthew Wilson as its new chief operating officer for Europe.
Wilson is based in London and will report to Travelers Europe chief executive Sean Genden (pictured), who was previously chief operating officer until his promotion in 2011.
Wilson joins Travelers from Willis where he has worked since 2000, holding roles including chief operating officer of Willis Global Specialties division, and compliance and legal affairs director of Willis’ international division.
In his new role, Wilson will oversee the European functional areas and partner with the senior leaders of the two European operations: Travelers Syndicate Management Ltd. (Syndicate 5000) and Travelers Insurance Company Ltd.
