Travel insurance Facilities Group has launched a new travel intermediary, Infinity Insurance Solutions (IIS).
IIS will use a multi-distribution approach across a variety of channels, including brokers, corporates, affinity, travel agents and direct to consumers.
Robert Hall has left Aon to head IIS's sales and marketing division.
Hall commented: “IIS combines hands-on account management with the speed and convenience of an online portal.
“With the sector facing a raft of potential changes and the possible reversal of the ‘connected contract' exclusion by the FSA, we believe our specialist knowledge and advanced systems will meet a growing need for these services.”
Richard Smith, commercial director of TIF Group, added: “We saw the opportunity to establish a dual platform approach to the market, thereby providing access to our specialist products and expertise for general brokers, corporate clients, affinity groups and individuals. As a direct intermediary business, IIS complements our existing wholesale and underwriting agency operation, which provides support to large specialist travel insurance brokers and their travel industry clients.”
