Howard steps up to replace Eyre
Towers Watson has promoted to global leader of the company’s insurance and reinsurance brokerage business, effective from October.
Howard, who is currently regional leader for brokerage in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, will succeed Bill Eyre, who will take up a newly-created role focused on client and market relationship development, Towers Watson said in a statement.
Howard will continue to be based in London.
Eyre, who steps down after 14 years in the role, “will expand existing key client relationships globally and develop new prospects using his extensive industry experience and strong network of strategic relationships,” said Towers Watson.
Howard joined Towers Watson following the acquisition of Denis M Clayton & Co Ltd in 2002.
Eyre said: “I am delighted to be turning over the leadership position to Ross, with whom I have worked for many years. While I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and successes of leading the business I am looking forward to transitioning my responsibilities and supporting Ross as we strengthen our client relationships and forge new ones.”
Howard’s successor will be announced in “due course”, said the firm.
