Towergate opens in Manchester

Towergate Risk Solutions (TRS) Manchester is to open a new purpose built office in Heaton Mersey.

The move will see its four existing businesses brought together under one roof to create one of the largest insurance brokers in the region.

The new team of 30 will service and grow the company’s book of more than 5000 clients. These include local property owners and businesses ranging from motor trade, haulage, manufacturing and retail.

Managing director of TRS Manchester, Michael Shelley said: “I am very much looking forward to bringing together four well-respected and long-established businesses.

"We will take ideas and good practices from each to create a first-class broking operation for the north-west, which will be able to provide for all of our clients’ insurance needs.

"We will combine the best of a local high street broker with the strength and range of products of the Towergate organisation”.
