Consolidator raids Willis for new regional managing director for Northern business
Towergate has hired Tony O’Gara as retail broking regional managing director for the North and John Neill as managing director of broking business Towergate Newcastle.
O’Gara joins Towergate from Willis UK, where he is currently regional director for their corporate and commercial operations in the North.
Prior to Willis, he worked for Griffiths & Armour and Marsh.
Neill joins Towergate from corporate warranty provider UK Warranty but held various roles within the Towergate Group between 2003 and 2012. His first role was as broking director in Newcastle before being appointed as managing director of the Wigan branch of CCV. More recently, he was head of business development within Broker Network.
Towergate broking division chief executive, Mike Lawton (pictured), said: “These latest appointments form part of our recently announced restructure within the broking division following our decision to move from six to five regions across the UK.
