Underwriting and insurer bosses join MGA Association
The Managing General Agents Association (MGAA) has added three new directors to its board.
Joining the seven existing directors are:
- Mike Smith, managing director of INK Insurance
- Nick Hales, managing director of Underwriting Risk Services
- Andreas Loucaides of Jubilee Group
All three have been co-opted until February next year when the association’s first board and committee elections will be held.
Reg Brown, chairman of the MGAA said: “2012 will be a busy year for the MGAA both in terms of working with the regulators to facilitate an accurate understanding of the role of a true MGAA and creating a whole host of practical benefits for our members.
“We are therefore delighted to welcome Mike, Nick and Andreas to the board and look forward to tapping into their considerable market knowledge to help support and guide our endevours.”
The MGAA launched on 1 September and has 43 full members underwriting in excess of £1.25bn of GWP, 14 insurer members and and 17 supplier members.
