Talbot Risk Services Italia to trade as Lloyd's coverholder
Underwriting Risk Services Ltd (URSL), the specialist worldwide multi-line underwriting agency has launched a new Italian operation, which will trade as a Lloyd's coverholder under the auspices of URSL.
Nicholas Hales, Managing Director of URSL, assumes the same role in the new business, entitled Talbot Risk Services Italia Srl (TRSI).
URSL has already received the "green light" from Lloyd's and the relevant approvals from ISVAP – the Italian regulator.
The framework for TRSI has been created from URSL's acquisition of an existing Italian wholesale broker, Yacht in Service Sas. The new operation now becomes an underwriting agency which will offer a number of current URSL products and services.
Nicholas Hales, Managing Director of both URSL and TRSI, said: "This initiative is our direct response to an expansion in the Italian marketplace and to recent changes in the Italian regulatory framework. The intention is that all of our Italian business will go through TRSI and our clients will benefit from truly local representation and comprehensive Italian language documentation.
