Gray to head Newcastle centre; McArdle and Harvey join in account roles
Swinton has opened its first commercial office in the North East of England, as part of longer-.term strategy to extend the commercial arm of the business across the UK.
The Newcastle commercial centre, which opened this month, is the first Swinton branch in the region to offer dedicated commercial lines services.
The centre forms part of the company’s strategy to expand the reach of its commercial division, developing its UK local broker proposition.
Swinton Commercial regional centre manager for Leeds Neil Gray has been appointed to manage the Newcastle centre, while also continuing his role as manager for the company’s commercial centre in Leeds.
The opening of the centre also sees the appointment of two new members of staff.
Darren McArdle has joined Swinton Commercial as commercial account executive and has 20 years of regional and national commercial sector experience.
Graeme Harvey joins the firm as an account handler and has worked for Swinton for more than 15 years in personal lines insurance.
The launch of the new centre follows the opening of Swinton’s first commercial centre in Scotland in August.
Swinton Commercial director Carolyn Callan said: “This is a very exciting time for Swinton Commercial as we celebrate the launch of our first commercial insurance centre in the North East of England, extending the reach of the business to further build on our national presence in the UK.”
