New home policy said to provide low internet prices and face-to-face service
Swinton has launched a new online home insurance policy, which can protect people’s possessions both within and away from the home.
With a 26 question form to answer when seeking an online quote, Swinton is hailing the new policy as one of the industry’s most user-friendly products.
Every customer buying online is assigned to one of Swinton’s 455 branches, where they will have their dedicated personal advisor, should they need any advice or assistance throughout the life of their policy. This gives online customers both the benefit of low internet prices and a face-to-face, local service, said the company.
The policy provides extensive cover for up to £500,000 buildings and £50,000 contents cover as standard, and gives an element of free accidental damage cover. Plus £15,000 of cover for high-risk items such as clocks and jewellery, with the option to add extra accidental damage, personal possessions cover and even home emergency protection.
The policy also covers personal possessions taken out of the home – up to £2.5K for a single item.
Lisa Rooney, internet marketing manager said: “Swinton’s approach is always to provide outstanding customer service and we are keen to ensure that this is offered consistently not just in our branches but also online. This new online home cover gives the best of both worlds as it offers an easy to use service with the addition of local, expert after-sales care. We believe this is the most user-friendly ‘quote and buy’ product available online at the best possible price from our panel of insurers.”
