Acquisition will add around £1m GWP
Swinton has acquired Greys Insurance based in Burnley, Lancashire.
Greys is a predominantly commercial broker with gross written premium approaching £1m across both personal and commercial business. Greys’ customers will be merged into its Burnley office.
Greys was established in 1925 as a broker to farming communities.
All Greys Insurance sales staff have been retained. Brian Ingham, Dianne Waddington, Darren Hughes and Daniel Hughes have joined Swinton’s Grimshaw Street offices in the centre of Burnley.
Swinton commercial director Carolyn Callan said: “This is an exciting time for Swinton Commercial with the acquisition of Greys Insurance, representing our ambitions to continue to grow the business.
