Gloucester-based commercial broker is snapped up
Swinton has acquired Alexander James Commercial Insurance Brokers in Stroud, Gloucestershire for an undisclosed sum
Swinton will inherit 200 customers and a specialist commercial book of national clients, which will be integrated into its Cirencester commercial branch.
Alexander James was established by James Pressman in 1994 in Stroud, originally as a partnership, specialising in marine, estate management and engineering insurance.
Pressman and consultant Chris Biggs are joining the team at Swinton Commercial’s Cirencester branch, along with Alison Franklin and Heather Brown.
Swinton Commercial director Carolyn Callan said: “Alexander James Commercial Insurance Brokers is yet another exciting acquisition for Swinton Commercial as we continue to expand our coverage across the UK.
“Retaining local talent and expertise is very important to us and we are delighted to welcome James, Alison, Heather and Chris to Swinton Commercial. Together they bring with them over 95 years of industry experience, and I very much look forward to the valuable contributions they will make.”
