LCL scheme winRun-off specialist LCL Group has won the contract for what is believed to be the first solvent scheme of arrangement for the UK branch of a US corporation. On Tuesday, a court approved the application made on behalf of the US-based Quincy Mutual Fire Insurance Company for a formal order to establish the solvent scheme that relates to the company's London operations. The scheme will be managed by LCL Group.

MOD seals recordsThousands of Ministry of Defence (MOD) documents have been sealed due to asbestos contamination.The MOD discovered the archives containing all of its most highly sensitive files were contaminated by asbestos, said a report. The files include documents relating to British nuclear policy and defence and intelligence assessments throughout the cold war.
