The week's losersHiscox down 7.2%Legal & General down 3%Last week Chubb sold its 18.6% stake in Hiscox at 165p per share. Chubb was unable to comment on the sale, but experts were not surprised by the move. Analysts put it partly down to Chubb's failed attempt at buying the rest of the business. Chubb's offer of 210p per share was firmly rejected by Hiscox's management in 2000. Meanwhile, it was a good week for Windsor as its share price went up 10.7%. However, analysts feel that it's a volatile investment. They point out that because of its size any modest buying would increase the share price. The rise could be attributed to the 800,000 shares traded at the end of March. Windsor, however, attributed the rise to its good performance over the last seven years and that it now owns 100% of its professional indemnity business.
