Michael Brooke with be responsible for growing relationships with brokers in North East
Sterling Insurance has hired Michael Brooke as regional development manager for Yorkshire and the North East.
Brooke joins Sterling from Broker Network, where he had held several roles since 2008, most recently as insurance relations manager for Towergate.
In his new role at Sterling he will report to divisional manager for the northern regions Simon Hodgin.
Michael’s priorities will be to grow and strengthen existing relationships with brokers in the area and increase volume of sales of Sterling’s high-net-worth household and commercial products.
He will be based out of Sterling’s Manchester office, but will spend much of his time travelling around the region visiting brokers.
Commenting on his appointment Brooke said: “Sterling has an excellent name for high quality products and high levels of service. I am hoping that, together with my insight and experience from working on the other side of the fence, will help Sterling to stand out in this region.
“I understand brokers – I know what challenges they face and their priorities. I look forward using that knowledge to support the team in best serving the needs of brokers in Yorkshire and the North East.”
Hodgin added: “Michael brings considerable commercial experience and knowledge of how brokers operate as well as sales and marketing skills which will be invaluable to us as we grow our business in this area of the country.”
